"If the lesson lies in learning then by teaching I am taught". The winds of change are all around us now. Our country has been taken over by democrat heathens, who charge the banner of liberal themes. And our right wing (chicken wing) is going down with the promise of Armageddon. I give you the reason to watch a high school baseball game, we only live once, we may as well take a little time out of our lives to go watch some kid who is doing very well on the mound or on the corner. Whether a high school er plays any sport , soccer, or golf, or field hockey, it is the same. It's always fun to find the kid who does well in any endeavor and watch him or her rise above the clamor and politics of high school baseball. The thrill of seeing good baseball at any age is as fun as it gets. When the winds of summer bring out the bats exposing a future Manny Fernandez or a pitcher that just goes out and dominates an entire seven innings the promise of a new day rides down upon us "nothing is hiding it's all there to be sought". A kid can find the fun, and the future that a career in baseball could be. On a hot July afternoon I watched the young man throw a complete two hitter, with no walks and no earned runs. Against overwhelming odds the pitcher only played his part. It was the effort of the Infielders who gave the Pitcher the opportunity to throw the great game, and the Out fielders ran well and caught every line drive and fly ball that was hit out to the field. In other words it was a team effort. The other team played well but couldn't match the skills of the local boys. The hits were clutch and the defense was superb, a deadly one two punch. The drama of the game was well worth the cost of a ticket, and all in all it was a great day to be on this blue orb. There are times in our lives when we take time out for the All American pastime, because when we do we relive those wonderful old dreams. When the crowd sets a mood of expectations and the players respond with polished skill and determined effort, the scene becomes one of electricity and anticipation, and in the end, of celebration and glory. Then we start over for the next one, complacency becomes the enemy. So we focus on the never ending task of staying alert and taking hard reps, until the next one.

Rock and Roll Fall of Shame

The RRHoF is a sham and doesn't deserve the status that it recieves. People are duped into thinking that this is an honor to be inducted into it. it's more of an honor to not be inducted into it. The two guys who rule the hall are by no means authorities on what constitutes great music, they think they are, and I guess thats all it takes and some money of course. This years Phall of Shame inductees are not what I'd call Rockers except Jeff Beck who transends anything the R&RHoF could stand for. It's really a shame that the great musicians of our time have to be suckered into thinking that this is a real honor. While I'm glad that someone has recognized the rock groups that are in it I don't consider the rap groups to be anything like rock music. What is the rap on Prog rock anyway? Progressive bands like Yes and Rush and Procol Harum are overlooked every year so we can induct Run-DMC into the supossedly hallowed halls of Rock Fame. Who in the hell is Run-DMC? I cannot and will not support the sha'll o phame, as long as the selections are twisted by the opinions of the two shallow owners of Rolling Stone Magazine. If I was Jimmy Page I'd renounce my induction into this ball of flame and take Jeff Beck with me. Metallica is a pretty good band but to say they are better than Rush or Procol Harum is absurd, and that is precisely what you are saying when you induct one group ahead of the others. I pay good money to see Jeff Beck because he brings something to the table, the R&RHoF brings nothing. I get more enjoyment from listening to Gary Brooker sing out one of Keith Reids fantastic poems with Troweresk guitar wailings than anything I could ever read in Rolling Stone Magazine. If you're a fan of the call o blame then you are either just ignorant or you're one of them......Yes that's right, I said it, if you like the hall then you need help. It's ok though, I'm not alone. MSNBC ran a poll on progressive bands being shunned by the doll of dame and the result was overwhelmingly in favor of removing the dunderheads who run it for an independent group to make those important decisions. The poll which I believe is still up was associted with a story on Rush and prog rock bands in general being overlooked. Some of the comments that people were making were very opinionated and pointed. It seems like every year we have to put up with this garbage coming out of Cleveland about all of the fanfare from the lock and load wall of name. I'm fed up with it if they can't make good selections then they have no credibility and then you have to ask yourself why are they doing this? I'll tell ya! MONEY!!! The old bottom line. Let's sell out the old aging rockers one more time, we're going to get ours, by God. I'm boycotting the fall of fame because it is just a sham a money making profit center for the two rich jew-boys from Rolling Stone magazine who really have nothing to do with Rock music except to degrade it.

Facebook | My Photos - Photos

Facebook My Photos - Photos

Green "O" Leen

How many of you have heard of biofuel? How many of you have heard that we can make fuel from feedstock? Well did you know that we can make fuel from algae? That's right, algae. The green stuff that clogs our lakes and pipes and rivers and all kinds of places that we don't want it to. Well now making diesel fuel from algae sounds like the ticket to kick the OPEC guys right square in the balls. I don't know about you but when I gotta pay $4.50 or better for a gallon of diesel for my truck then one of two things have to happen, either I gotta start making more money or the cost of fuel has to come down. I don't know of anyone who says "hey how about the low cost of fuel these days" (with the recent price drop), do you? So I'm going to kill two birds with one stone. I'm going to farm algae, and get rich, and have free fuel. Maybe I'll just invest in some of the new biofuel companies and not worry about it, because they are going to go sky high. I love the idea of using b100 in my F-250 Ford truck. It has 90% less emissions than normal diesel. Mercedes is already designing engines that will run on it and Audi is too, BMW is going to start soon and I'm sure the Japanese will follow suit. But the Americans are too mainstream to even consider it, and you wonder why they are all hurting. Well Barack says if he gets elected he'll twist Detroits arm and get them to start making engines that will run on b100, you gotta love that. Now as I see it biodiesel will sell for something like $2.50 a gallon and Straight Vegetable Oil or SVO as it's known in the biocircles will go from $1.00-to $1.50 a gallon. That's do-able, but the thing you gotta love is that we'll never run out of it. It's clean, it's green, and it's OPEC free. What is the one thing that will ruin the economy of the arabian countries? How about if America suddenly is burning green instead of black.

Barack Rock

Ok so most of you know that I live in Denver. Last night was uh interesting. I'm an Independent, so all of the hype for either candidate goes right over my head. Last night Barack said that he was going to convince the big three automakers in Detroit to build engines that will run on biofuel. Now I don't get my hopes up to easily, but I was excited to hear that. Why? Because I drive a diesel truck. That's why all of my computer blogger/friends call me Rumblerod. So when I heard this I was pretty happy because none of the candidates have talked specifically about biofuel. All in all it was a festive night in Denver last night and I think Barack will get elected. Remember now I'm an Independent, so just because this all went down in Denver doesn't mean I'm down with Barack. I am down with kicking opec right square in the balls. I can't think of anyone better to do that than someone named Barack Obama, and the Obama mama Michelle. Hey if things get too liberal we can always impeach him, but I think we'll be fine as long as Nancy Pelosi isn't too involved in passing liberal stuff like giving illegal immigrants rights that they shouldn't get because they aren't Citizens. We can't take care of all of the poor people all over the world. At some point in time they have to elect leaders that aren't corrupt. Even the country called Russia (USSR is still alive) is so corrupt beyond your imagination, and Putin is just a criminal in a suit and tie. Bush needs to realize that there are many people in this country who are good Citizens who aren't christians. That is what this is all about now because we don't need their oil. we can make our own from algae just check out this site, www.valcent.net I'm going to when I retire. So if we don't need the oil what do we need over there. OBL. Osama Bin Laden and all of his thugs are going down. We have some bad business with them, and the taliban too, and Pakistan had better just butt out. I have to give George Bush credit though he has Iran surrounded, no wonder that they are so nervous. Once America has lost it's dependence on foriegn oil Iran will revert back to just another backwater regime. I guess they'll have to grow poppy's like afghanistan does.

The Lunatics are on Their Ass

My last blog touched on the exploits of our dear Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Madman across the water. If Elton John thought Richard Nixon was mad then I give you the leader of Iran who isn't the leader at all. He is just the Mullah's mouthpiece. You remember that little snippy sucker who sat next to Jabba the Hut..... Well thats what he is. President Bush has him surrounded. and with all of the saber rattling that is going on right now I'd rather be in our position than his (similar to being streched out over a barrel with your pants down). Our friend from Russia, Vlad Putin, the commies answer to freedom, is playing along with Iran and is selling them whatever russian products they can buy. It doesn't matter that we have a bunch of sanctions on Iran, because Russia and yes China too will jump in and help them out with whatever they need....for a price. President Bush has our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and someother stan north of Iran and we have a fleet of navy ships in the Indian Ocean, and the Araibian Sea. We literally have Mr. Ahmadinejad surrounded. Don't think that Russia isn't watching. I think that we should call Mr. Putins bluff. Unless the USA has some sort of weapon in the works that will render all other conventional or nucleo/biological warfare obsolete, then now would be the time to strike. The Mullah's are the ones who are funding the terror in Iraq and want us out. The islamic regime in Iran is corrupting everything, and we should seriously consider taking them out too. I believe it is time to reinstate the draft and put our nineteen year olds who aren't doing anything better with their lives and put them on the border to guard it and to help build any fortification necessary to maintain the border so that no illegal immigrant or drug smuggler can come in. You have to protect both borders, Canadian, and Mexican. Speakiing of drugs maybe it's also time to legalize pot and tax it so that the tax dollars can help pay for our failing infrastructure.

The Lunatic is on the Grass

I cannot believe that anyone is taking the madman from Iran seriously. When I rented the car they asked me if I wanted their insurance for total coverage, me being naive as I was thought"I don't need it I have insurance". My bad. So I take this car and drive it off of their lot and I'm about two mile away when I turn on the windshield defroster, all of a sudden the windshield develops this crack and I'm watching it grow across the windshield at the base of the glass. It really doesn't hinder my view and I'm thinking well it isn't my fault. so I call them up and tell them what happened. "Oh no Problem Sir" is their reply, " you can either just continue to drive it or bring it back to us and we'll give you another car. Well I was in a hurry and so I opted to just drive it that way, because I was only going to have the car for a few days. So no problem, I drive it and then take it back to them. "Oh no problem sir, we recall your phone call we'll take care of it" Two weeks later my credit report shows that I stiffed enterprise out of $277.00 for a new windshield, and my credit rating has taken a hit....a big hit. So I call them up and ask them what is going on. No body can tell me anything but now I have a collection bureau calling me at all hours of the night to "get the money". I am pissed. A Lawyer friend says to me don't worry I'll help you . So he gets the collection company off my back. but enterprise is still trying to get thier $277.00. My insurance company has a $500.00 deductable rate so it looks like I'm going to have to pay this if I want them off of my back. So after legal wrangling and and being bullshitted by lawyers and corporate executives I end up paying them. I am just sick of the whole thing. They have scammed me. They are nothing but common thugs. So now to the present. My Son who drives a Cadillac that he bought with his own money (he is 18 and still in high school), was backed into at a local drive in hamburger joint. It's not much damage to the car, but it will need some body work. So the person who bumped into him whom we'll call the Bumpor and he exchange information, and we go on our merry way. We call the bumpors insurance company who is very prompt in setting up the appraisal and in general they are very good at taking care of us. So now to the beef. I'll need a car while my Son's is in the shop for ten days, "OK no problem sir". There is a car rental agency right there at the body shop, Hertz and enterprise. Well you know who I'm not taking. So I say Hertz. A few days later the insurance agency calls back and gives my wife the authorization number, she writes it down, and later I look at it and see that it's not Hertz at all, but it's enterprise.....I knew it. So they have some cheap assed Buick for me to drive, I say I want a Cadillac. "We don't have a Cadillac here Sir", they say. So I thought that the car would be at the body shop waiting for me when I drop off my Son's car, because they have both Hertz and enterprise there at the shop. Nope I gotta take Saturday morning off and go over to another location and pick up the car, they won't even pick me up. So I go over there and I find out that they want me to walk around the car and agree that there is not any damage to the car, well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I'm wondering why I have to inspect the car if the insurance company is covering this, right? "The insurance agency didn't authorize full coverage Sir". Is the answer I get. So I walk out of there and came home to blog about it. I put in two phone calls to the insurance agency to have them call me, that's when it occurs to me that this agency doesn't call you unless they have something that they need, because remember when my wife got the authorization number? Well I tried several times to call them to tell them that I didn't want enterprise, but they never called me back. So now I'm going to raise a big stink until I get what I want. Which is a Cadillac with full coverage for the entire time that I have it paid for totally by the Bumpor not the Bumpee. With no hidden costs by rip off artists like enterprise. Let this be a lesson to all of you bloggers out there and those of you who may not be bloggers, but would otherwise be wary of such scam artists and thugs in general.

One Big Happy

Happy 4th of July:

As we celebrate the fourth and our freedoms that are quickly evading us, we should all take some time to ponder our status in the world today and reflect on what we have and what we’ve lost. We still have many freedoms, but our rights are under attack from several places. Our country is under an all out invasion from Mexico. Middle easterners are trying to murder all of us. Russia wants to divert back to the good old stalinesque days of treachery. China is just sitting there getting richer every second that ticks off the clock. Iran wants to blow up all of the white people in the world. People in Darfur are dropping dead by the minute. Our Troops are fighting the good fight in Iraq and not where we should be in Afghanistan. The Taliban is making a big comeback there. Kofi Annan the ex head of the United Nations is just a criminal, what did he do you say, well he’s out on the lecture tour charging naive college kids $150,000.00 a pop to talk about the issues in the world that are near and dear to him. That isn’t the worst thing because if people are stupid enough to give it to him ……well good luck. Our own President Bush who up until now I could justify in my own mind his exploits in the middle east, and the economical woes that this country has endured, but I can’t get over this Scooter Libby thing. To every person who has committed a crime and has done the time, yes even Martha Stewart, yes even Paris Hilton, You have just been punished again. Only with this little arrangement the Prez pulled off he is telling us all that we aren’t in his little club, and we better not do what Scooter did. I can’t wait until the election and we can vote “Mr. I’m Better Than All of You” right out of office. Yes Our Country is under attack from within and from outside the borders. I consider all of you as progressive thinkers and hard working. I know you to be that, I also know you to be concerned about the way that things are shaping up with regard to the government of our country. I look at the candidates that are out there and I’m not real impressed. I like Hillary, but she’s too far to the left. I don’t know enough about Romney to say, but I do know about Mormons, because I used to be one. I would hate to see this country taken over by the Mormons, not that they would do anything illegal, just that we would all be bored to death. The rest of the candidates are scary, not for what they have done in the past, but for what will happen in the future. So the one I’m going to support is Tancredo, because he was against the immigration bill that the Prezident almost snuck in with. He wants to secure our borders, something that goes against the grain of the current regime. It would mean that the gardener and all of the labor on the ranch at Crawford, Texas would have to go. Tancredo isn’t for amnesty. So I want to wish all of you a very Happy Fourth of July, And consider that our freedom lies in the blood of our fallen Troops. Let’s honor them by honoring the laws that say you can’t just waltz in to the USA and rape and murder our citizens, I won’t re-hash the email that lays out the statistics of crimes committed by illegals, I’ve sent it to you before. This isn’t a campaign ad for Tancredo, You have to go with what you feel is right. All I can say is that we need to stop the erosion of our rights and our flow of money back into Mexico. If you want a Happy Fourth of July card go here; http://www.americangreetings.com/ecards/ .

I'm a Back Door Man

You know with all of the crap going on about the immigration issue I am just sickened by our Polititions inability to just enforce the law. It seems to me that all of the people who went through all of the "trouble" to come in through the front door, and become Citizens of the United States, the right way, are just clowns, who have been duped by the factions in both the White House and on Capitol Hill. We don't need another law. Please enforce the ones we have. I am so sick of illegals wearing down our system and bringing disease into our country that I am ready to go patrol the border myself. Yeah I'll be watching the "Back Door". The illegals who come here are just looking for a better way, I understand that, but I also understand that the crime rate has gone up with the waves of illegals who cross our borders every minute of every day. My Grandmother was murdered in her own home by an illegal. The cops refuse to go after him because he's back in Mexico. Or maybe he's back in the States now, who knows. The fact remains that he is free and my Grandmother is dead. It isn't just my Grandmother, In Denver, Colorado, a Cop was gunned down by an illegal who fled across the border, only to be turned in by his grandmother, but the Mexican government wouldn't extridite the son of a bitch because they knew he would be given the death penalty. So the government cronies compromised, and agreed to give him life instead. So now we have to pay for this shit-ass to rot in prison. Yeah I'm going to be watching the "Back Door". I can go on in almost every major city in the USA an illegal has committed murder. For one thing the illegal puts no value on human life. We are dealing with a neanderthal mentality who has evolved into the twenty first century. They have guns and knives, so do I. I am watching the "Back Door". The President must get off of his ass and enforce the laws of this nation and send all of the invaders back to Mexico. Yes we are under an all out invasion, and it's not just from Mexico. Middle easterners are pouring into America in vast numbers. I don't trust them. I am awaiting for the voice of mohammed to say rise up now all of islam and kill the infidels (us). When that happens I'll be ready with a huge arsenal of weapons and a huge ability to make ammunition. I have a bullet for every muslim or illegal immigrant who tries to hurt my family or me, or any of my friends. I know that one day the call will come from islam to rise up and defeat the white man, and when that day comes I will defend all that is mine by constitutional right. If I catch an illegal prowling around my house I will shoot first. The politico's in Washington had better get this one right, the American people want the border to be protected and if it means building a wall and manning it with our troops then I'm all for it. If Mexicans want to come here and work our fields then they can just come in the front door because I'll be watching the back one. Yep, I'm a "Back Door Man".

The Revolving Door

Every day, hundreds if not thousands, of illegals enter this country. They are literally dying to get into the USA. It is wrong. As a nation we must stop it. We must also stop flying the Mexican flag in this country. The American flag should fly supreme. that is higher than all other flags. I believe that it should be a $1000.00 fine first offense to fly a flag from another country in America. It should be legal to properly fly a flag from another country that is, below the American flag. This should be enacted into law immediately. We must pester our elected officials to do this and to send our troops to the borders to cut off the flow of illegal invasion into this country. The reason our crime rates are so high is because of the uncouth criminal element that has migrated into America from south of the border. Now I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but any country that allows live "donkey shows" is sick. Mexicans come into our country and rape our system that is based on christian morals. We just turn the other cheek. Now I'm not real religious, so I feel very comfortable in kicking their asses right out of here. and if you feel the same way I do then go to Tom Tancredo's, Rep. Colorado, website and support him. Trust me the only people who do not support him are either the extreme liberal left or those corrupt politicians and rich people who use them as housekeepers, gardeners, etc. We can take back America, and we must, for if we ever expect to balance our budget and stabilize social security, and lower the cost of health care, then we must do it now. Get off your collective asses and email the politician of choice and ream them a new a**hole. Indecision and complacency is killing us. If you are reading this blog then start sending emails and tell them what you think. I believe that with the change in power in Washington we can make a difference. We have witnessed the "changing of the guard". George Bush has honored himself and this country. He has not been a "bad President" and it is with some perplexity that I look forward to January, and the checks and balances that will keep Mr. Bush from going too far out on a limb. I really think that he has maintained our country in a time when America is under attack from the middle east, and south of our own border with the "Mexican Invasion" into our country. This Country is the United States of America, and it is a free nation. We are the most advanced group of people on this earth. Europe is doing well also and they have in places such as Great Britain, many of the same issues that we have here in the USA. We are a young country, but we have been sucsessful as a nation goes. I'm truly thinking that he will be a "better" president when he is constrained with a Democratic Congress. George Bush has kicked a lot of arabian asses. He is a leader that I want on my side. He kicked ass with restraint and knowledge that the future can bring miraculous things. Mr. Bush is a lame duck, and so what he wants to do may be done without the passion that a president must have to work together with a partisan congress. I'm thinking he's up to the task. I'm thinking that with George Bush as our President and Nancy Pelosy as Speaker our country will prosper. I am looking forward to the impending stock market rise and the balance of cost in goods and services. I am looking forward to secure borders. I think that Mr. Bush will get this done and I think we let Mr. Tom Tancredo R. Colo. head up the effort to control our borders, Yes sir. I'm thinking that there will be some changes. If you are new to this country then having the job of sponsoring you, allowing you to enter this country, should fall into the hands of the military. I believe that this country can only stand so many people on this continent, less it may sink into the sea. George Bush is and will be a great President and the future is here.

Colorado Governor got Governated

Yesterday Colorado Governor Bill Owens(R. Lame Duck) was out on his soapbox on the steps of the Colorado State Capitol preaching to the masses about the horrors of marijuana(weed) He rolled out several of the states top dogs and high ranking State Troopers to extol the virtues of voting down Proposition 44 You know, the one that will legalize an ounce or less of weed in the possesion of someone 21 or older. Oh the rhetoric was steaming, with the scare tactics of the regime of paranoia. Bill lamented the use of pot, and how this was going to kill our children and we would all turn into drug crazed heathens, and we should just vote this Prop 44 down and go drink our Coors Beer. The states top dogs all got up there and echoed Governor Bill's rhetoric and policy. The doctrine of the Republican party was never more evident than it was spewing forth from the steps of our State Capitol. The only problem was that 90% of the crowd he was speaking to was pro pot. They heckled the hell out of Wild Bill. and just shouted him down. It was so funny to see the chief of the State Patrol up there looking like a buffoon spewing the Republican, Religeous Right, Consevative Party agenda, to no avail. The crowd wasn't having any of it. On 9 News (the local NBC affiliate and Republican Mouthpiece) they have polls for every issue that reflects their agenda and they show the polls that are carrying their agenda the most, guess which poll they don't show ....ever....Yup you guessed it Prop 44. Bill said that this issue would never pass in Colorado, but I'm not so sure Bill is right about this one.

What Do You Want From Me?

What do they want? I think they want what we have. Perhaps they want to keep us from having what we have because they know that they'll never have what we have. We are giving them $74.00 a barrel for oil. Maybe we should give them more. If they had more money would that make them more peaceful or would it just corrupt them to a point that they couldn't manage the country or the people. In america we checks and balances, in Iran for instance they have the fundemental regieme. If you oppose the government in Iran they will just cut your head off and call you an infidel. In America they would call you a protestor. If another dollar a barrel for oil will help the Arabs to honestly run thier countries then I'm all for it. The problem is that all of the oil money that goes to middle east goes to the extremely wealthy, sort of like our Republican party. In America The Republicans say that trickle down economics should be in place, in other words the wealthy make tons of money and pass it down to the not so wealthy through payrolls and by investing in the stock market. The trouble is that the wealthy didn't get that way by giving thier money away to middle class america. That's why the middle class is a shrinking group. Pretty soon the middle class will be no more. The upper MC may become wealthy and the lower MC may become poor. In other words the rich get richer and the poor have babies. Well the same thing is going on in Iran and Iraq and Syria and Jordan and even in Afghanistan. The poor in those countries are really poor and have no way of standing up to the rich, so in effect they are just slaves and the only thing that they can look forward to is martyrdom. And the fact that if they don't become Martyrs then that guy over there with the AK47 will kill all of thier family. Resisting is kinda like the movie"Kill Bill" only you don't know who Bill is. If Islam is intent on killing all of the inidels(non Islamists) then we need to just take the oil, and let them all starve. They can play by the rules or not play. I don't think the majority of islamists believe that all non Islamists are evil, but how can you tell. In WW2 we rounded up all of the Japanese because we couldn't tell who was with us or who was against us. I can't tell. In my city we have a small minority population of third world people such as Ethiopians, Sudanese, Iraqis, Iranians, and "others". These people are not very polite either they cut into lines and try to just bully their way whenever there is an event or something that involves many people they just jump to the front of any line like it was never there anyway. They speak in their native tongues so you can't understand them, and they strain our welfare system. I don't trust them. I'm for deporting as many of them as we can, the sooner the better, and then taking all of the oil, and putting the oil on the market for a fair price.

Trower Power

Have you ever been to so many concerts that you just can't remember all of em? Friday night I went to see Robin Trower. The venue was the Gothic in Denver. My buddy and I rushed in to grab good seats, we found em too, it was all general admission so we had balcony seats right on the rail. When you go to a show like this and you look around at the other people who are at this show, you begin to think that you know most of these people, after all we ain't gettin younger. Another friend who lives like a block from the venue was there and so was his girlfriend whom I'd never met before, but she was in her twenties and was very ready to enjoy the show. Now as good as my seats were my friends were better and he invited us to sit with them and watch the show from this new vantage point. Well after a while I began to realise that my friend was getting awfully drunk, and rowdy at the same time, by the time the warm up band was done and Trower came on my friend was wasted, falling down wasted, but what do you do? After a while the management came over and threw my friend out. His girlfriend stayed to watch the show, so we stayed too, we figured that no matter how drunk my friend was he only lived about a block from the venue, and there was no way we were going to miss Trower. Well after a while the girlfriend gets pretty bombed too and she is unable to handle herself the way she normally would and here comes the management and they're going to call the cops because her boyfriend is gone and she has nobody to help her out. So guess who gets volunteered for this little crisis, yup that's right, yours truly. Good thing my friend just lives a block away, I can hustle this girl over to my friends house and leave her there, maybe I'll get back without missing too much. So, off we go. As soon as I hit the street the first person I see is my sons baseball coach who happens to be a Trower fan too....... Ok so I just say "hi" and act like I'm pissed off because I am, because I'm missing the best show I've seen for a while for a woman whom I don't even know. OK all goes well after that, I get her home and sit her down on a chair, and right then my friend shows up, so I split back to the show. Now My buddy that I came to this show with is still in those fantastic seats about less than 15' from Robin and just above him on stage left. I saw Robin in 1968 in Merritt Island, Florida. He was with Procol Harum at the time and I remember how incredibly smooth he was, well he ain't changed. He's still as smooth as he was then, only now, he's better. I was blown away at the speed and clarity he played his candy apple red Stratocaster. I haven't seen Robin for a long time so I wondered what It would be like, It was great. This guy still brings it. His band was great and even the roadie did a great job. Afterwards Robin signed autographs and talked with about 100 or so fans who ran around back to meet him. If you get a chance to see him, do it. If not then buy the DVD (see picture).

Sitting on a Park Bench

Has it been that long? I can't believe I haven't posted a blog since April. Well the CWS came and went. the whole thing was just a lot of fun for everyone there except the Rice contengent. They were staying at the same hotel that we happenend to be in and when things went south for the Riceronies it got ugly at the old Doubletree. Better luck next year. We were there for a Triple Crown Tournament for 14 year olds. It was a hoot. I never knew Nebraska could be so much fun.
See that storm brewin in the background? It was nasty. Watching North Carolina just hand OSU their hat on Saturday, I couldn't believe that they would come back and win two in a row. North Carolina was dominate throughout the tournament, but Oregon State never gave up. Tough Kids. Ok so most of the hype about immigration has cooled down and maybe calmer minds can prevail, but don't count on it. So have you seen the latest Republican strategy??? Redistricting. While the republicans are in power they vote to redistrict the individual states to give the republican party a distinct advantage on both legislative issues and national elections, hey it's a free country right???? I'm looking forward to this weekend, I wonder how many white kids will cruise up and down main streets in Mexico waving American Flags and celebrating our Independence Day????? White kids are smarter than that though, nobody wants to get shot full of Mexican lead. The insurgents in Iraq are just stupid boneheads, eventually they will all be hunted down like criminals and get their just due. So Warren Buffet is giving Bill Gates like 30.7 billion dollars to aide Gates' charity, It's like the pot calling the kettle black isn't it. Hey send a couple of million over to me so I can set up a non profit organization that will aide some folks and pay me well doing it. Maybe we could use the money to hire up some Rock Stars and have this huge concert in the Seychelles attracting all the richies and make em donate tons of money to the cause. Yeah It could happen. Who's going to the Burning Man thing this year? Crazy, huh?Alright I promise to write again soon, but you gotta comment on the blog to motivate me, see how that works?????

Sitting on a Park Bench

Eyeing little girls in tattered panteeeeeezz! Only these girls were like 21 and had no inhibitions if you know what I mean. I crave live music. I go see it all of the time. My friends all play so I make excuses to get out of the house to go see one of my friends playing at one of the local venues. All bands are good I've summized. The best bands though can play more than three chords. Loud is the key here. Heavy Metal ain't what it used to be. You got to have a rythym to make it work. Most HM is like gore movies, it leaves you wanting.........well to leave the joint and go find a mutual partner, and make your own music. I find that Music that helps me stay in erotic moods is the music that I like best. You know you hear about people who say I like all kinds of music, I guess for some folks it don't take much, but I can relate. For instance some classical music is really good for candle lit encounteres'. So is a good hard rock beat, loud and steady. The best music is the music that is playing while the candles burn and the evening is warm and moonlit, and is shared by those who would.

Walks Like a Duck Squawks Like a Duck

Who is this guy? He is telling the world to go get screwed. Plain and simple. Iran will be the first country to use WMD's to try to wipe out Isreal. Now I'm not a Jew, but I understand their plight. this guy has got to go I'm already sick of looking at him. He looks like he has just finished smoking a giant ball of hashish, I mean look at his eyes. I've never been that stoned. So here he is telling the world to go piss up a rope. Can you believe it. It's a joke and if the UN lets him get away with it then they are just as bad as he is, but then we already knew that. He reminds me of that guy in Iraq who was the minister of TV for Saddam, you know the one who was always saying that the americans weren't even near Baghdad. These guys don't deserve to be recognized especially by me. This guy is a joke to the world and I'll bet Las Vegas has odds on when this guy is going to get shot up. I'll call this guy President Hashish, cause he looks like he's been sucking down some camel dung. So I wonder what the odds are that Iran and the USA and Britain and the rest of the free nations are at war with Russia and China over this. I mean who is giving Iran urainium........Russia, right? So you'd think China would be up in arms over it, but they're probably selling them plutonium triggers. It's coming down to East vs. West, people. Iran is trying to either start WW 3 or is it going to be the ayahtollahs version of Islam vs. the World. Eventually thats what it will come to. I don't think the Chinese or the Russians would allow Iran to start blowing up the countryside with Nuclear weapons because it could affect them, and they aren't Islamists for the most part so knowing those guys they will sell them all the stuff they need to blow up isreal and then when they do it, they'll go in and take over (and get all of the oil) So Russia and China have nothing to lose by allowing Iran to trapse down the primrose path because the intend on pouncing on them like a spider.

Dja Know ?

Who was Django Reinhardt? This guy was brought to my attention when I was a kid watching old cartoons from the thirties and fourties. I didn't know it then, but Django, Django is pronounced jahn go, was a phenom. He never used drums but rather used rhythm guitar to create a beat and therefore percussion. His leads were, well... fast. Chet Atkins was once asked to name the ten greatest guitarists of the 20th century. He placed Django at #1 on the list (he placed himself at fifth position). Amazing. Jean Baptiste "Django" Reinhardt (January 23, 1910 – May 16, 1953) was a Belgian Roma jazz musician. He was one of the first important jazz musicians to be born in Europe. His most renowned tunes include "Minor Swing", "Tears", "Belleville" and "Nuages" (French, meaning "Clouds"). The Beatles tune Piggies allegedly steals a melody from Grappelli's "Eveline" as recorded by Django. Carlos Santana is influenced by Django. Django mainly used only two fingers on his fret hand, because the others were burned badly in a fire when he was young. The Allman Brothers Band song Jessica was written by guitarist Dickey Betts in tribute to Reinhardt. He wanted to write a song that could be played using only two fingers. B.B. King, cites Django as one of his main influences.David Crosby named one of his sons "Django". Les Paul was influenced by Django. Willie Nelson cites Django as an influence on him, Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead was influenced by Django. All of this stuff about a guy who lived a long time ago and played a guitar that was just plain old basic guitar. When you hear him you'll know. Since it's Easter weekend and resurection is the order of the day, besides Jesus, I would like to resurect this guy. I wonder how he would sound with a new electric guitar. I don't think the boys in Cleveland would put him in the Hall of Fame though, he never lined their pockets.

It's the Old Shell Game

First we saw all of the illegal immigrants waving mexican flags and protesting the fact that most Americans want them out of this country. Where are the Blacks in this issue? All this is, is slave labor. If black people are against slavery then they should damn well be against any form of allowing illegal slave laborers to come into this country and sell themselves as slaves to the farmers who pay them a mere pittance of a wage to pick cotton in the hot sun all day. If you think that slavery was abolished in the civil war times then I have news for you. It wasn't. They have come into this country and with the alliance of the legal hispanic community, poured out in large numbers to protest the illegal immigration resolution that our so-called government is trying to pass. Much like a kidney stone. The numbers that they present would lead you to believe that the majority of Americans want them to stay. This is so far from the truth that it reminds me of extortion, because thats what it is. What they are saying is that if we don't let them in then they will raise so much hell that our lives will be miserable. Well guess what, as long as they are in our country illegally then they are already making my life miserable so I have nothing to lose. This is an insult to every American who has served their country. This is a cruel joke on the Americans who have fought and died for us in foriegn wars. They fought for our freedom and for our country, now it is time for us to fight for them. We must round up every illegal and send them back to mexico, and give them the opportunity to come in the front door. The argument that says that they do menial tasks that Americans won't do doesn't hold water. How long will it be before they start taking the better jobs away from legal citizens if they no longer have to hide out and work under the table. They are a pariah on our land, we must unite as citizens and get them the hell out of here. They do not pay taxes, nor serve our country in the Military. They do not contribute one thing to the benefit of this country. they tax our health care systems, our school systems, and they still think of us as gringos. They would stab us in the belly with a cold shiv just as soon as look at us. All of the flag waving is just an act, don't buy into it.

Here's Mud in Your Eye, Osama

In an amazing statement on Al Jazeera Television aired into the Arab world a lady named Wafa Sultan roasted Islam. she didn't just roast Islam she Slammed Islam. Check it out, go to this link.
http://switch3.castup.net/cunet/gm.asp?ai=214&ar=1050wmv&ak=null But do it soon, because I don't know how long the arabs will let this aire. It just goes to show how really stupid the Clerics and Imams really are. This Cleric in the video doesn't have any response to Wafa, all he can say is that he doesn't respond to heresy. I don't know about that, but this woman makes sense to me.

Daze of Future Past

When I was seventeen or so and working in the Rockbiz I was a big Procol Harum fan I saw them in my hometown and actually got to post a review of the concert on the Beyond the Pale Website. It's an interesting place of nostalgia, but I want to say something here these guys were good and still are The last I saw Gary Brooker he was playing on the Concert for George DVD. He was exceptional on that night. Robin Trower is still touring in Europe, hey you can catch a bird, fly across the big pond, and catch him at Statford on Avon this year. Those days were great. We had no worries except Vietnam. That was a big worry so we played Rock and Roll real loud to shut out the daily bombardment of G.I.'s getting shot up by Viet Cong. Oh and don't forget the cold war there was always the threat of the big one falling on us. In 1962 or so when the Cuban Crisis happened, they taught us to get under our desks at school and put our head between our legs and place our hands and arms over our head and neck, but only if we saw a real big bright red flash. It had to be real big though, our teachers were so mean that if it was a small red flash we would get punished for it. When I was 13 nobody had long hair unless you were so poor that you couldn't afford scissors, then the local bullies would gladly give you a "haircut". We had one bully, I'll never forget I think his brain was in his hands and he beat up so many kids that were smaller than him that he must have smooshed his brain. Now he breathes fiberglas fumes all day at the factory where he works. Reminds me of Islam. get it: I slam as in I slam you down infidel! We didn't worry about a bunch of kooky Imams and Iyatollas and hard core fundementalists then. I was more worried about my bicycle chain breaking. Times then weren't as wasteful as they are now a loaf of bread was 39 cents and a gallon of milk was 89 cents if you could afford it. a gallon of gas was around a quarter but I remember one gas war they had in Panama City, Florida where the gas was 9 cents a gallon, I think it only lasted a day or two but we all sure got as much of that as we could. Then came the seventies and it all went downhill. I can still remember the Olympics in Munich, and how everything changed because of muslim men, who wanted to be like Hitler and now they still want to be like Hitler. I think that too much of one thing is bad for you, even religion can be that way. So now I tell everyone that if you want to practice your religion do so in the privacy of your own home, and if your church does a lot of good things for poor folks, then great. You've done something worthwhile, but to me religion is something that should be very private. It's like between you and the big guy, and you don't have to implicate anyone else. A lot of religions use the old guilt trip and a lot of us who don't buy it are going to hell, but if you don't mind then I'd like to do some things here on earth, that are worthwhile before I go see Lucifer. I'd like to teach practical skills to the underskilled for instance. You know like guys who play a G note when they should be playing an"F". It isn't much, but it could help. Well you get the idea. Life was so much more simple back in those days, and I still worry about my bicycle chain.

Iz you iz or iz you aint

I read today in the MSNBC website about the poor bastard in Afghanastan who is about to be put to death because he denounced Islam and turned to Christianity sixteen years ago, hey where is the statue of limitations when you need it? I think that any religeon that puts that much weight on the flock is paranoid about losing the flock. Who are the wolves? I mean the whole concept of religeon is a way to enslave as many god fearing folks as possible. Now I was watching HBO the other night and here comes "Big Love" the new series about polygamy and fundemental Mormons in southern Utah. Now this guy has got it made he has three wives and three houses and three families that he "attends" to on three different nights. It don't get stale, if you know what I mean. And now I'm thinking that it's no different than the Taliban. The religeous right rules the roost. The guy in "Big Love" he really is the cock of the walk. His boss is like the head of the Preisthood, I smell Sopranos here. So anyway I digress, and back to the poor bastard in Afghanastan. The United States has come out and told the new boss of Afghanastan that this is immoral and they should not harm this guy because it would offend the western nations and that is true. So now Afghanastan is tring to let this guy off the hook to appease the US. Now am I missing something here or do I need to bring in Bill Maher when I say that this is just bull crap. Islam is just a bunch of goofy mixed up kooky old bastards trying to justify behavior that is repugnant at best. I guess if the women over there like wearing their bushkas and all that other crap then hey who am I to say there is a better way. But come on now we all know that Islam treats women like crap. But the Polygamysts might be onto something. Hey if the women like it and like each other who am I to say it's wrong. At least they know where their man is sleeping. I have a hard time supporting one family let alone three, but its the thought that counts, right?

XP goes QT

Have you ever had your OS just say hell no? I did. It took14 days and the better part of $200.00 to fix the damn thing. OK so I didn't have an external hard drive and I coulda saved myself a ton of money, fool me once shame on you...... So for about two weeks Reds Grille has been like shut down by the health department for servin up Montezuma's revenge. It's all good though cause we're back up. Hey, and we got a brand spankin new external hard drive to boot (literally). Didn't I tell ya that the real issue in the middle east was the fact that the Iranians are trying to slip us a mickey, and have their nuclear cake and eat it too! Now it comes out that Red was right and the Iranians think they should be able to buy and sell nukes as they damn well please. So what's Bush gonna do? Life really is a comic strip isn't it folks. It's Georges dream and we're all just livin in it. I think he's right though, and I don't mean just because he's a Republican. He really is right. We shouldn't let a bunch of crazy thugs in Iran have nukes. If you thought that the Iraqis are a bunch of loose cannons wait till you get a load of these guys. We should have taught them all they would want to know about nuclear technology back in 1979. Now every terrorist and their ugly camel butt mothers will have the button, yeah that button, you know which one I'm talkin about. Now the Chinese are sayin well maybe we shouldn't judge them so rashly........I got a rash for ya! Right now the world should unite and put this camel assed country in their place. It would be politically incorrect for the U.S. to go in and blow the hell out of all of Irans Nuclear facilities, even though we know right where they are and could smart bomb the electrons right outa there. So we gotta play it smart like Tony Soprano would say Badda boom badda bing, right George? So how many of you were like offended that the big song at the Academy Awards was like something about my Pimp? Man I gotta tell ya Sinatra must be spinning like a twister in his grave. That whole party is like downhill man. They need a wardrobe malfunction in the worst way. So I was over at Johnny Moranvilles the other day......Man that guy can make some nice guitars, and plays em pretty good too. So is Pink Floyd going to tour or not? I mean can anyone tell me what the deal is there? Well can ya? And I'm still going crazy over the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's selection for 2006. Have you seen it? I mean how in the hell does the Sex Pistols get in? I've blogged that one before, it's two guys who do all of this and it's like about who they like, and not who really deserves to be in there, so the whole thing is rubbish. I gotta tell ya I think I got what, 63 bands, ahead of the Sex Pistols. You know I'm not gettin any love out there, I've got some stuff to talk about but I ain't hearing you or from you, so log on and say something, good, bad, or ugly. I don't care

It's Only Rock N Roll....But I Like It!

You know what gripes me about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is that it's a sham! It's a fake. This thing was conjured up by two guys who figured out a way to scam money and live like Rock Stars. Look at this years inductees, I mean Blondie gets in over Procol Harum, how does that happen? If you think I'm full of shit then read this article from Fox News, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,1963,00.html It was printed in 2001, but it still makes sense to me. By the way has anybody been to the wolfgangsvault.com website? I went there after watching the CBS Sunday morning show and it was so crowded that I couldn't see most of the stuff there, but what a load! It really is a treasure trove. The prices are reasonable for the stuff that you had once, but threw away or your Mom threw it away when you got drafted. I'd like to get back to the Rock and Roll HoF. These guys are so bad that they won't even accept your email telling them what turds they are. The R&R hof is just a club of who these two guys like, and they are making millions without donating to any organizations that actually help musicians. If you ask me they should be investigated by the IRS. The Hall of Fame is separate from the idiots who elect the inductees. The Hall itself is a great tribute to the musicians who have been inducted, but the Hall of Fame Foundation is the outfit that inducts the musicians and that is where the shit hits the fan. These two guys have about as much business inducting the hall of fame inductees as does Donald Rumsfeld or Dick Cheney. I don't know maybe Donald has some knowledge, but you get my point. I think that the Hall of Fame Foundation should be a panel of several people(12) who are close to the Rokbiz and have nothing to gain from the inductees that they nominate. If the R&R hof is to be a great institution then it must have the credibility to substantiate the terms, right now it doesn't. So anybody that is inducted to the R&R hof by these two guys who call themselves the Hall of Fame Foundation should boycott and walk away from it withe non acceptance speech of "this organization is bogus".

Boys will be Boys

OK, OK, so what would you rather do? Go hunting with Dick Cheney or go cruising with Ted Kennedy. I mean you have to ask yourself. Since I'm a western guy I probably would take my chances with Cheney. I've been quail hunting and I can hide with the best of them. I mean Cheney would have to really be looking for me. I don't think he was looking for Whittington. I don't think he coulda seenhim even if he was sober. I mean can you imagine being the local sherriff......... I can see it now.. uh Mr. Cheney were going to have to take you downtown....Right. If you or me shot Mr. Whittington we would be thrown in jail so quick that you'd get seasick. Who would be harder to arrest Dick Cheney or Donald Trump? It makes you wonder about who in the hell is running things in Washington. I see that now Mr. Whittington has a BB on his heart and suffered a minor heart attack from his ordeal. Well I guess that makes him a member of the good ole boys club now. If I was Whittington I'd own Cheney. I've heard reports that the boys were hunting and drinking. A pretty loose combination, if you ask me. Ok now I just heard that Mr. Whittington had a second heart attack. I mean if I was Bush I'd be saying "Cheney get your ass in here". "We gotta talk". I don't think Bush has the cahonies to stand up to Cheney. Boys will be Boys. I tell you what, the trick is to stay at least two people apart from Cheney on the firing line, and just a few steps behind him. If he shoots me, I'm gonna pepper his ass. I hunt quail, and I don't go with a bunch of wild cowboys. I go with maybe one other person and my two dogs. Can you imagine the scene when a covey of quail gets up in front of those guys. I'm sure it sounds like Desert Storm or something. Well we can all have fun at Dick Cheneys expense he deserves it. I just hope that Mr. Whittington makes it.

Ever Have One of Those Days?

You know it's going to be a tough day when you get and find out that one of your old friends is in town playing a concert, and all you want to do is just sit around and watch the Olympics.....right? So My pal, who shall remain nameless, calls me and tells me that my old friend Jorma Kaukonen is in town for a few days and so we gotta go see him. Well Ok I'm game. So we're scrambling around looking for tickets, because you don't ask old friends for backstage passes anymore, then, I find out that I can go see him tomorrow night and the venue is closer and the ducats are cheaper, so now things are going good ....Right? So we're sneaking around trying to figure out how to sneak out to go see Jormy, because we really think that our wives wouldn't have much fun at this thing anyway. I mean it's loud, smoky, and there a lot of obnoxious kids who are like drunk, and stoned, much the way we were when we were that age, but you don't want your wife to feel left out, not this close to Valentines day. So we're sneaking around and we figure out we'll opt for tomorrow and pocket the two bucks savings. Not to mention the cost of fuel to not have to drive a bajillion miles across town. OK, so we score the ducats and we're all set. Oh yeah we're really pulling a fast one here, this is gonna be great we'll see Jorm and have a few cold ones, and talk about the old days, like Jorm wants to remember Jefferson Airplane...Right? So just as the time to go gets nearer, my wife gets this phone call from one of her friends .....you guessed it! Her friend has these great tickets to go see Hot Tuna with Jorma Kaukonen, and didn't you used to tour with him like back in the seventies? OK Plan B. I call my pal, and bring him up to speed, but now he can't go, because his wife has scored tickets to another show and he's gotta go with her, so now what the hell are we going to do with these tickets? Stay tuned.

Face Down in the Gutter

For the life of me I can't even get over the ranting over cartoons. Is there anything else we can have thrown at us to divert the real issue here which is Irans NuclearBomb! Can we play Hide and seek now. This is so stupid that I think I'll have something to blog about forever. I've made some drunken comments before (like, I do), but I just love the way Iran and Syria are hyping this whole cartoon affair Makes me think that they are hiding something like .....bombs. I've said it before and now I'll say it again if the world community is serious about stopping Iran from making nukes then the world should just ostrasize them....right? Total embargo. Just put them in a corner and put the dunce cap on them. No food, no water, no trade whatsoever. Don't buy their oil, either. I get tired of hearing about how it's always the U.S. who is the evil one when we have tried to help their nations to become stronger. I agree with Andy Rooney and Robin Williams, we should just butt out of all of the countries that aren't 100% with us. Like France. I guess the American lives lost to free France in WWll doesn't mean much anymore. We could just pull our troops out of all of the places in the world where the little guy is getting the shit kicked out of him and protect our own borders. But then we would be called the "Chicken Nation". I don't know about you but I've had enough chicken flu to last me a lifetime. I support our troops in Iraq. I think we have made a difference there. Those people have a say in matters now, they have rights. They have been liberated from that smart assed Hussien. It seems to me that that part of the world has been uncivilized for so long that that is all they know. Barbarians. Yeah let's go hack off the head of a young female Journalist, sounds great, right? I think George Bush in spite of all of the critisicms is a good President and has done the right thing. We are addicted to oil, George. So why don't we explore Hydrogen fuel cells and spend a little money to develop alternative energy like photovoltaics? Instead of spending $20.00 to take my kid to a few baseball practices I could use that twenty to buy some food, hey novel idea Red! Where do I come up with this stuff?

Hey! I've got another bitch. This is Red's Grille after all, if you can't take the heat.......How come we haven't got Osama's funky butt in jail yet? How many caves are there? The way I see it, you're either pro freedom or you're a terrorist. Even the Russians won't side with Iran on this whole nuclear weapons thing. Iran should just "fuggitta bout it". Huh? You don't know! When the Iranians get nuclear weapons they will escalate terrorism to new levels. If we all sit around on our hands and wait and see, then we will see......that I'm right. The United States understands better than anyone that nukes are not the answer. Iran doesn't need nukes, they have no business posessing them, and by gaining the power to start a nuclear holocaust will only turn into a destroyed planet. I say we shut Iran out of the world community until they give it up. I mean totally cut them off. Nobody buys their oil, nobody sells them food or water. Just shut them down. The insurgents in Iraq are mostly from Iran and Syria, the two nations that have the most to lose by the U.S.'s presence in the middle east. You are either on our side or their side. I can't believe that there are nations who don't side with us, those nations are our enemies. I say we print more cartoons of all of the fanatics including Osama and Al Zarkouwi or however you spell it actually I don't respect him enough to spell his name right.

So what does the Muslim world think? That they are above everyone else on the planet? How many satyrical cartoons have you seen that depict the Christian God perplexed or befuddled and in a state of confusion? Probably a lot. I don't see what the rub is. Muslims can dish it out but they can't take it, Right? Muhammad was only a Prophet. He wasn't a full fleged God. So how does he get God-like status? If Muslims don't want to see their prophet satyrized, then maybe they shouldn't be blowing everything up. I have been made fun of ever since I was like a real little kid. It hasn't hurt me, but rather given me humility, a trait that must be below Muhammad's status in the eyes of the offended Islamists. I'm hearing now that Iran and Syria are the two countries that are hyping this whole cartoon thing anyway. People... get over it it's only a cartoon. If you think that the cartoon will ruin Muhammad's reputation, well...I think it's a little too late for that. I'm thinking that Iran has a lot to worry about anyway, so does Syria. With Iraq being a democracy it will be hard for boys in Iran and Syria to bully the neighborhood. The Terror boys are seeing the end, hopefully sooner rather than later.
